The following is the agenda that I laid out for our current Disciple Group Leaders in May of 2023.

3 Governing Ideas:

• Disciple making involves both evangelism and discipleship.
• Discipleship groups aim to help believers mature. 
• The outcome we are looking for is Great Commission Disciples/Leaders, not exclusively more discipleship groups.

So, what does discipleship group multiplication look like over the next couple of months?

We will be able to multiply Great Commission Disciples by taking these 5 steps together.

Step #1- Meeting with Current DGL’s to give them instruction on the New Multiply Guide and the leader star process.

• We did this on Sunday afternoon, May 21, 2023 at 4pm, and individually with those who could not attend.

Step #2- Take D Group through the Discipleship Group Multiply Guide.

Walking through this 4 week process will produce one (or more) of three plans per person in the group.

• a. Future Great Commission D Group Leaders multiplying D Groups in kind or participants helping new D Groups that are multiplied.
• b. Future Great Commission Leaders Serving in leadership roles in the church.
• c. Future Great Commission Leaders doing great commission work outside of the church.

Step #3- Meet with Future D Group Leaders to coordinate D Group Recruitment and Leadership Training.

• Future DGL’s will bring ideas for their “who” from their leadership plan.
• Pastoral Leadership brings master list of potential disciples.
• We will coordinate the “who”, “when”, and “where” of the D Group Year with everyone at the meeting.
• Introduce the “D-Group Overview”(See below step #4) and “Starter Guide” (coming soon) to the new D Group Leaders so that they are equipped to recruit and start their group.

I (Pastor Ben) am also considering doing a preaching series on the what a mature believer looks like.

Step #4- Recruitment for New Groups is done by the D Group Leaders for the next year.

Step #5- Commissioning of New Groups as the 5th Conversation of Multiply Guide.

• This step will happen End of Summer, beginning of fall 2023.
