1. Commit to attending Outreach Night on April 11^th at 6:30pmIt will take place from the gym.  There will be a dinner provided at 5:30pm.  There will be child- care available.
2. Plan an activity or event for your class to help have something to invite people to as we follow up on them.
   1. Example:  Teens have an all nighter.
   2. Summer Events will be emphasized- Summer Days, Summer Nights Family Events
   3. VBS, Summer Camps etc
   4. Individual Class events

Two Important Tactics for Easter Follow Up

1. Visitation Follow Up

  • Best Practices:
    • Pray before you go out!
    • Read the profile report and notes before you walk up to the visit. It helps to know the background and the reason why you are making the visit.
    • Don’t walk through the yard. Use the sidewalk.
    • Identify yourself before you ask for the person you are trying to visit.
    • When the person comes to the door, identify yourself and explain why you are there. Give them whatever material you have to connect.
    • Use the “Share Jesus” questions or something similar and go as far as they will let you, or as far as you need to go in getting to spiritual things.
    • Be aware of social cues and be responsive to them.
    • Fill out the contact report completely.  Give all the information you can to make the follow up later even better.

2. Class Events as a tool for Follow Up and Fellowship

• Use the Activity Request Form for Scheduling Events on the church calendar, in the buildings, and in the communication.
• Use this activity checklist to decide what to do and what not to do when doing an activity.
